Whether you have a busy schedule and are just away for the day, or on a holiday, your pets will be more comfortable and less stressed staying at home rather than being boarded in a kennel and cared for by a total stranger.

To help your pets be more at ease while you are away, we spend quality time getting to know them during the In-Home Consultation. Each animal is unique and we want to get to know them and learn as much as possible about their individual care. All of us at August Animal Care are mature and experienced animal care-givers capable of handling any situation that might arise. Your pet`s health and well being is of utmost importance to us.

August Animal Care`s goals are to make your pet happy, keep them safe, and care for them as if they were our own.

In-Home Consultation

It is important to meet every new client prior to any services. This gives everyone a chance to meet and get to know each other. We will discuss exactly what will be required to make the experience a positive one for animals and humans alike. The more we know about your pet(s), the better. Every animal is unique and deserves to be treated with special care. This is also an excellent time for new clients to ask us questions. If you require any special services that are not listed, this is an excellent time to go over them. This meeting is required for all new customers.
 
Key Program

August Animal Care will keep a copy of your house keys in a secure location. Your keys will never be identified with your name, address or pet`s name.

Newspaper and mail pick-up

In-Home Visits

All visits are suited to your pet`s needs. Does your dog enjoy a walk around the neighborhood? Or perhaps he would rather play fetch in your backyard. Does your cat want some TLC? Or does he or she prefer to be left alone? Is your horse happy with a carrot and a bit of brushing?

Each pet is unique and will be treated with lots of loving care.

All pets will receive their appropriate food and only approved treats. Water will be replenished. If your pet needs any medication it will be administered correctly. If you have cats in your home their litter box will be cleaned.

Multiple visits are available to suit your pet`s needs! Every household is unique! Please contact me for an individualized quote. Out-of-area visits are available, although a traveling fee will apply.

Other Services

Pet Transportation

Does your pet need a ride somewhere? My vehicle can safely transport pets of any size, excluding large livestock. Carriers (to be provided by client) will be used for all small animals. If the trip is to the veterinarian or groomer the client is responsible for all costs incurred.

Pet Supply Pick-up

Don`t have time to run to the store for pet supplies while you are at work or out of town? I will pick them up and deliver them to your home.

Policies

Requesting Service

All new clients must request service at least 72 hours prior. Existing clients may request service 48 hours prior if August Animal Care has keys. Please book as early as possible.  

Holidays Rates

There is a 50% surcharge for services provided on major holidays (New Years, Easter, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas).  

Cancellation Policy

Services must be cancelled by telephone or e-mail at least 24 hours prior to their scheduled start. If service is cancelled less than a 24-hour notice, client is responsible for full payment.  

Payment

Full payment is required at the time services are performed, excluding veterinary, supply, grooming costs.
